Last year 2,686 people were illegally employed

Last year 2,686 people were illegally employed in Slovakia, according to a report of the Labour Ministry. Year on year the number of detected cases of illegal employment went up by 15.03 percent. Most often, people lacked proper employment contracts or other documents required by law. Companies doing business in the construction sector, wholesale and retail sectors, and accommodation and food services are the most prone to employ people illegally, according to the report.
