Ukrainian border patrol guards announced today that they have detained a helicopter near the Slovak-Ukraine border which was apparently used for the paid trafficking of illegal migrants. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency. The Ukraine border patrol service announced in a statement that the route and helicopter were discovered during joint Slovak-Ukraine operations, with the machine, two pilots and a third person being captured near the village of Poroškovo in the Transcarpathian region. One of the pilots was arrested for the same offense for the third time. Border guards claimed they had to fire warning shots before detaining the individuals due to resistance from the helicopter crew.
