Two light engineless aircraft collided in mid-air in the Nitra borough of Zobor on Saturday, with one of them crashing into the roof of a family house, while the other landed safely at the nearby Janíkovce Airport, Nitra regional police directorate spokesperson Božena Bruchterová told TASR during the weekend. According to witnesses, the two aircraft were flying close to each other right before they made contact. The news website nasanitra.sme.sk reported that the family that owns the house involved was having lunch when the plane crashed into the roof. "The 38-year old pilot from the Czech Republic managed to jump out from the aircraft before it crashed. He landed with a parachute in the garden, suffering minor injuries", said Bruchterová, adding that the incident is being investigated by experts.
