The private Chinese company CEFC China Energy Company Limited is to acquire a 50 percent stake in J&T Finance Group SE (JTFG). Representatives of both companies have confirmed the deal by inking a strategic partnership agreement. "Entry of such a strong partner in the group is an opportunity for us to make it among the leading companies in Central Europe and expand into new markets. This is historically the most significant transaction we have ever carried out," said the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the J&T Finance Group, Patrik Tkáč. "Finance is one of the key areas where we have been engaged in all over the world long-term," added CEFC President Chan Chauto, reads the Hospodárske Noviny daily.
