In response to the terrorist attacks in Brussels on Tuesday, Slovak President Andrej Kiska said that society mustn't be overcome by fear. Kiska stated that it's an awful thing that even in the modern world there are people capable of committing such terrorist acts. Every such attack should only further stimulate Europe's unity, solidarity and the fight against terrorism. During his visit to Trnava, Kiska also said that Slovakia cares about its security and is taking all steps necessary to protect its citizens. "We have to be cautious, but we mustn't allow fear to overcome us", he said, expressing his deepest sympathies to the victims' families. The president added that such incidents should urge Europeans to reach an even higher degree of unity and solidarity in the fight against extremism.
