The Foreign Affairs Ministry has advised Slovak citizens to avoid travelling to Brussels following Tuesday's bomb attacks in the Belgian capital in which at least 26 people were killed and 136 injured. The Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák, along with MEPs Eduard Kukan and Ivan Štefanec took to social media to express their shock and most sincere condolences to all victims. The Slovak authorities are in contact with their Belgian counterparts to check if they are any Slovak citizens among the victims. The Slovak Intelligence Service announced it has increased its alert and intensified cooperation with foreign partners, and Bratislava airport has also announced that security has been increased.
