New government asks for first hundred days

In regard to the turmoil created around forming the new government, on Sunday in a TA3 television broadcast, Prime Minister Robert Fico asked for 100 days of peace for the emerging government. Fico rejects attacks mounted by the opposition and some media against the future coalition quartet of Smer-SD, Slovak National Party, Hungarian Most-Híd and the party #Sieť. According to Fico, the new government needs peace since it faces a great deal of work, including preparations for the upcoming Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU. "Let them have the first hundred days - but with one exception," said Daniel Lipšic of OĽaNO-NOVA in response. "They won't have even a single day when it comes to stealing." Lipšic voiced the conviction that the parties of the emerging government have nothing in common.
