Slovakia belongs among countries with excellent industry, however, without an increased investment in science, research and innovation and a solid education reform, it can lose this position in the future. "It is education in particular, that is crucial to the new industrial revolution 4.0, which has already changed the economies around us," said Mikuláš Luptáčik, dean of the Faculty of National Economy of the University of Economics in Bratislava in an interview for TASR. According to him, Slovakia holds a very good position in labor productivity, which over the last year has seen the highest growth in Europe. However, in the future the country must add innovation, which is the only way to maintain the competitiveness of Slovak industry.
