Bratislava Airport reaches 7th place in Skytrax listings

Bratislava's M.R. Štefánik Airport now ranks seventh among all airports of the former eastern European bloc on the Skytrax World Airport Awards listings, reported TASR on Thursday. According to airport spokesperson Veronika Ševčíková, the airport has thus improved its standing by one place in a year-on-year comparison. "Bratislava Airport managed to make its way into this chart for the first time in 2014, when we ended up in the fifth place. In 2015, we were in eighth place and seventh place in 2016", said airport general director Ivan Trhlík. M.R. Štefánik Airport is the only Slovak airport included in the chart, with the top place in the eastern Europe category going to Franz Liszt International Airport in Budapest. The World Airport Awards are based on nominations from more than 13 million passengers from 112 different nationalities, served by 550 world airports. The survey measures customer satisfaction in 39 key aspects, including services, passenger registration, landings, shopping options, safety, passport checks.
