The Pravda daily released more detailed information on Thursday following the cancellation of a play midway through the performance by Banská Bystrica regional governor Marian Kotleba. The governor, who is also leader of the newly-elected, extreme-right political party Kotleba - People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) ordered the play to be cut short due to the kind of language used against certain nationalities. Head of the play's ensemble and actor Gabriel Obernauer told Pravda that the play includes statements such as "You Serb/Russian/German pile of shit". Kotleba on his website pointed to phrases such as "kick up the arse", "punch in the snout" and "bitch". Director of the Banská Bystrica regional office Milan Uhrík was approached for comment. "The performance in question didn't meet our expectations. It was long, boring and, above all, clearly vulgar. That's why the chairman asked it to be cut short", he said. Kotleba on his website even claimed that a criminal complaint based on suspicions of the crime of defaming a nation, races and convictions is under consideration.
