A two-day Japanese Film Festival opened in Košice on Thursday, screening four contemporary Japanese films showing various aspects of life in Japan, while presenting a mixture of martial art and dance, and provides a look into the traditional kabuki theatre. This was reported by TASR. "The goal is to bring Japanese culture to Košice. This festival has been taking place for the fourth time in Bratislava but for the first time in Košice - as part of Japanese Culture Month", said festival organiser Blažej Gál. Co-organisers of the event are the Japanese Embassy in Slovakia and the Japan Foundation.
