Slovakia confirmed as a destination for Hyperloop

The Slovak Economy Ministry and the company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies have agreed to explore the possibility of future cooperation. The portal Cnet.com published the information that the firm intends to build a Hyperloop in Bratislava by 2020. The company itself, however, speaks only about a memorandum that will bring the realisation of the project closer to reality. Nevertheless, at a tech festival in Texas it confirmed on Sunday that the Bratislava Hyperloop should then connect to Vienna and Budapest. "At present, the Slovak conditions don't make it very realistic," said transportation expert Ján Bazovský regarding the Hyperloop project in Slovakia. He argues with giant costs, which would mean that the innovators would not see any profit from this construction from the economic point of view. Hyperloop transportation involves pods hovering on a cushion of air moving through a narrow tube at the speed of sound (1,236 km/h).
