The eighth edition of the awards ceremony for independent Slovak musicians, organised by Slovak radio's broadcasting service Radio_FM, took place in the old Bratislava market place on Sunday evening. The voting audience decided that the 1st place in the best album of the year category went to the band Chiki Liki Tu-A from Prešov, for the album Slzy tvý mámy, Šedivý a spol released in March of last year. The best single is Mladým chýba vojna (Young miss the war) from the group Billy Barman. Newcomer of the Year is BULP formation consisting of siblings Samo and Janka Štefanec. The award for contributions to music was posthumously awarded to musical publicist Juraj Kušnierik.
