Slovakia Supports the USA and the Russian Federation on their agreed procedure for the disposal of Syria’s chemical weapons, with such diplomacy seen as a major step towards reducing tensions in the region. Slovakia reiterated its call on the UN Security Council to use its full potential to rapidly end the armed conflict in the Middle East, whereby Syria should allow the inspection and subsequent destruction of all chemical weapons on its territory.
