The elections' shocking outcome brought many Slovaks surprising wins. "In these elections, we registered the most bets placed on election results in history. People won considerably more than they bet," stated Richard Slušný from the Niké betting agency. "Slovaks weren't afraid to take a risk and placed a bet on the Freedom and Solidarity Party (SaS) coming second, or even on the results of Andrej Danko and Boris Kollár, and thus confirmed for us a known phenomenon that betting agencies don't make money on elections," stated Tibor Švarda from the betting agency Fortuna. One of the luckiest betters is a man who placed a bet on the success of the Freedom and Solidarity Party (SaS) for a little under 1,000 euro and won over 28,000 euro.
