The Low cost airline Wizz Air is about to launch a new route between Košice and London as of Tuesday, September 17. “At exactly 4.05 p.m., the first pink Airbus A320 will land on the runway of Košice Airport with passengers from London on board,” said Juraj Tóth of Košice Airport.
The carrier, which operates in central and eastern Europe, announced that more than 6,000 air tickets have already been sold. “This figure shows the strong level of demand on both sides for such a connection - in the eastern-Slovak region as well as in England. In light of the fact that the flights haven't even begun yet, 6,000 tickets having been sold amounts to a rather promising start,” said Tóth.
