Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry State Secretary Igor Slobodník met with his counterpart from Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Brkic on Wednesday and congratulated the country on having submitted its application for EU membership in mid February. According to the ministry, it is an important step in terms of fulfilling its Euro-Atlantic ambitions. Slobodník assured Brkic of Slovakia's support for Bosnia and Herzegovina's efforts. On the agenda there were also security and political issues regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina's interest in joining NATO.
