A young man identified only as 19 year old David from Čadca (Žilina region), who published an advertisement in August offering €25 for every migrant coming to Slovakia shot dead, was given a suspended three-year jail sentence on Wednesday, with three years of probatory supervision and mandatory 'social training'. According to the police, David published a job ad offering cash for shooting migrants. He attached a photograph of the Interior Ministry's special facility in Gabčíkovo (Trnava region), used for accommodating migrants, and also a photograph of a group of migrants in a rubber dinghy. He also published a video on a social network in which he expressed extremist views about migrants. According to the Žilina prosecutor Marian Ukrop, David committed several crimes, including inciting national, racial and ethnic hatred and the crime of producing and disseminating extremist materials. "The punishment was imposed as part of a guilt and punishment agreement, where I considered the previous record of the charged person, who hadn't been convicted by any court before," said Ukrop.
