Trade unions and employers associations outline priorities for EU Presidency

Slovak trade unionists view reductions of working time caused by digitalisation as one of the priorities that Slovakia should deal with during its EU Council Presidency in the second half of 2016. Meanwhile, representatives of entrepreneurs from the Association of Employers Unions (AZZZ) perceive the Slovak EU Presidency as an opportunity to make the country more visible. From the viewpoint of employers, the EU should tackle issues such as red tape and the competitiveness of the Union as a whole in terms of drawing up legislation, the current cost of doing business and the environmental burden.
