Following Austria's decision to put limits on accepting asylum seekers, Slovakia is ready to introduce technical measures to protect its border with Austria against the possible tide of migrants, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said at the EU summit in Brussels on Friday. He added that Austria's decision caused significant tension at the summit. According to Fico, unilateral solutions are not a good way to deal with the migrant issue; however, safeguarding the outer Schengen border would be. Meanwhile, concerns have emerged that Vienna's move could result in a domino effect, with countries in the Western Balkans also imposing strict limits on migrants. A humanitarian crisis in Greece could occur as a result.
