On Saturday, a team of Slovak archaeologists left for Kuwait, where they are to conduct research into an early Christian settlement dating to the 8th and 9th century. For the team of 11 scientists from the Archaeology department of the Slovak academy of sciences in Nitra, this will already be their 7th season in Kuwait. Besides doing current research into the early Christian settlement of Al-Qusur, the Slovak archaeologists have also examined the site of Al-Khedr from the Bronze Age, where they have discovered rare Mesopotamian seals with mythological scenes. Part of the bilateral cooperation was also a visit of Kuwaiti researchers to archaeological sites in Slovakia.
