Prime Minister Leads Presidential Candidate Poll

If the presidential elections were held today, and if he decided to take part, Prime Minister Robert Fico would receive the most votes and would make to the second round with civil candidate Andrej Kiska. The MP for the Christian Democrats (KDH) Pavol Hrušovský would come in third with 17.3 percent of respondents. The prime minister is considering running for president, recently informing diplomats about this possibility. “He said he was seriously mulling over the candidacy,” an ambassador of an influential European country, whom did not wish to be named, told the Hospodárske Noviny daily.
