The state-run postal service company Slovenská Pošta is launching new electronic services for clients in line with its Strategy and Development Concept for 2013-2017. The aim is to improve the quality of provided services to customers as well as the success rate of its delivery services, and expansion of their current portfolio of services. As spokesperson for Slovenská Pošta Stanislava Pondelová further said, as of February 16, people can now request electronic notification on postal items at any branch of the postal company. The new service is to replace the so-called yellow paper notices when something is awaiting collection at the post office, with clients able to receive notifications via a text message or e-mail instead.
