The Central European political pact's emergence dates back to February 15, 1991. On this day, the Hungarian Prime Minister József Antall, Czechoslovak president Václav Havel and Polish president Lech Wałęsa met in the Hungarian town of Visegrad to sign a declaration on a close collaboration towards European integration. Today, the prime ministers of the Visegrad Four countries are holding an extraordinary summit in Prague. There, besides commemorating the anniversary, they will discuss such topics as the migration crisis and the fulfilling of the action plan between the EU and Turkey. This sees Ankara receiving three billion Euros, visa liberalization and reviving the stagnating EU accession process. On the other hand, Turkey must improve the fight against migrant trafficking on its borders.
