NATO has announced that it is sending ships to the Aegean Sea to try to tackle the European migration crisis. "Our top military commander is now directing the standing NATO maritime group to move into Aegean without delay," stated Jens Stoltenberg, the General Secretary of NATO on Friday. As he added NATO will monitor the region, provide information and support the fight against smugglers. Ministers of Defence from 28 NATO countries discussed Immigrant Crisis and the Fight Against ISIS in Brussels this week. They have agreed on a monitoring plan to fight immigrant smuggling in the Aegean Sea between Turkey and Greece. The Slovak ambassador to NATO Tomáš Valášek described Slovakia's status as "an observer" and said the alliance's strategy hasn't changed.
