It’s not only about wages, environment counts too

Last week the Swiss based business school Institute for Management Development released its 2014 report on how attractive 60 countries in the world are for so called talents, meaning highly educated, skilled and creative people. Slovakia ranked 46th, a six-place improvement in comparison to last year. The report took into account three sets of criteria: investment in education, the ability to use and retain one's own talents and the ability to attract others from abroad. Martin Reguli, an analyst with F. A.Hayek Foundation in Bratislava, explains why Slovakia is not doing so well in these rankings.
