A new exhibition, Crypto, at the National Bank of Slovakia’s (NBS) Coin and Medal Museum in Kremnica, introduces visitors to the world of cryptoassets – from their history and functioning to safe storage practices and investment risks.
NBS’s head of financial consumer protection Júlia Čillíková said the museum traditionally presents the history of currency, so adding a display on cryptoassets was a natural step. The short but interactive exhibition offers information via guided tours or QR codes placed by the exhibits.
Museum director Branislav Panis described Crypto as different from previous displays, focusing on a future that is already here, as many people trade and own cryptocurrency. He stressed that it’s not only about its potential but also its risks.
According to 5peňazí educator Agáta Lešková, the playful and interactive approach has already proven popular, helping visitors grasp a complex topic while raising awareness about possible pitfalls.
