Inflation hits 4% in March, driven by food and beverage prices

Inflation in Slovakia reached 4% in March, the highest in the last 15 months, with prices rising across all sectors. Food and non-alcoholic beverages saw the biggest increases, particularly in drinks like juices and mineral water, with significant hikes in oils, fats, and dairy products. The inflation was also impacted by rising prices in restaurants, hotels, and various services. Housing and energy prices increased moderately, while transportation costs dropped slightly. Compared to February, inflation rose in several sectors, but food prices showed a slight decline.
