Indian company Amara Raja Batteries plans an investment in battery production in Slovakia

The Indian investor Amara Raja Batteries is preparing an investment in battery production in Slovakia. The company is a subsidiary of Amara Raja Group, a major Indian corporation that also collaborates with the company Inobat. A Chinese investor, the Slovak side, and the Indian partner are expected to cooperate on this investment. This was stated on Tuesday by Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD), according to a special correspondent.

Blanár emphasized that this investment is important for Slovakia in terms of the transition to electromobility, as the country must also prepare for this shift. "Today, we are a global powerhouse in car production per capita, but the vast majority of these vehicles have combustion engines. However, the future lies in electromobility," stated the head of Slovak diplomacy.
