Polls: Parliamentary election would have been won by PS, followed by Smer-SD and Hlas-SD

If a parliamentary election had been held in February, Progressive Slovakia (PS) would have won 24.1 percent of votes, followed by Smer-SD with 22.1 percent and Hlas-SD with 12.5 percent, according to polls conducted by AKO agency on behalf of TV JOJ 24.

Also making it to Parliament would have been KDH (6.9 percent), SaS (6.4 percent), 'Slovakia' (6 percent) and Republic (5.7 percent).

Failing to make the 5-percent electoral threshold would have been 'Democrats' (4.6 percent), SNS (4.1 percent), Magyar Szovetseg-Hungarian Alliance (3.1 percent) and 'Sme rodina' (2.9 percent).

Based on poll results, PS would have commanded 43 seats, Smer-SD 40, Hlas-SD 22, KDH and SaS 12 each, with 'Slovakia' commanding 11 seats and Republic 10.

The poll was carried out on a sample of 1,000 respondents older than 18, from February 5-12.
