In 1947 the United Nations General Assembly declared the 24th of October, the anniversary of the Charter of the United Nations. Therefore we decided to mark this date in the broadcast of Radio Slovakia International, with a special feature on the role of Slovakia within this important international organization.
Since 1993 Slovakia has come a long way both as an independent country and an active member of the UN.
