Entrepreneurs can apply for soft loans

Entrepreneurs can now apply for soft loans from the Slovak Guarantee and Development Bank (SZRB). Financial assistance will be provided in the form of a loan guarantee and paying the interest on loans. The beneficiaries will be small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as self-employed people. They should be able to obtain sufficient funds to overcome the difficult period that began after the outburst of the pandemic. In order to obtain an interest-free loan, entrepreneurs must meet several conditions - they must maintain their business for at least one year and maintain the same level of employment, while at the end of the period they cannot owe social security or health insurance levies. SZRB and Eximbanka pointed out that in the first stages they will focus in particular on applications from businesses that had to suspend their operations due to the coronavirus epidemic.
