Mysterious Slovakia - Pt. 2

 Mysterious Slovakia - Pt. 2

Today, we have prepared the second round of this year's competition, "Mysterious Slovakia," in which we will visit fascinating places and recall fates that rightly bear the attribute of "mysterious" in the sense of enigmatic and intriguing. Such places, shrouded in mystery, undoubtedly include medieval castles and ruins, which Slovakia is particularly rich in. Today, we are traveling to the small village of Čachtice in western Slovakia and to the nearby castle ruins known as Čachtice Castle. This part was prepared by our colleague Jana Hrbeková.

How many world languages did Elizabeth Báthory, infamously known as the "Bloody Countess," speak?

Send your answers by the end of March to Radio Slovakia International, Slovenský rozhlas, Mýtna 1, 811 07 Bratislava, Slovensko, or via email at: englishsection@stvr.sk

Good luck!
