Sculptor Dušan Pončák Died

January 27, Prešov citizens paid their last tribute to late sculptor and painter Dušan Pončák in this eastern Slovak town. He had created several monumental works that might be found all around the country. His statutes, relief plastics and commemorative plaques were displayed in exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Belgium and France. He was collecting historical sculptures and donated 156 wooden Madonnas dating as far back as to the 16^th century to the Saris Gallery in Presov. Dušan Pončák died at the age of 75 Thursday, January 21.
