December 6, one of Slovakia's top authors for children, Daniel Hevier, turned 60. This poet and story teller has been added into the IBBY honorary list for his story "Where ice-cream vendors go for winter". Apart from writing books for children, he is also known as a playwright, essayist and the author of lyrics for the pop music band, Team, and its lead singer Palo Habera. His love for quality children books gave rise to the HEVI publishing house. Among other activities, Daniel Hevier's publishing house reissues gems of Slovak literature for children.
