The group of artists known as "Kassa Boys" comprises Radovan Čerevka , Tomáš Makara and Peter Vrábeľ and the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize 2013 winner Svetlana Fialová are internationally recognised artists. What they have in common is their origin - they all come from the east of Slovakia. They all studied at the Faculty of Arts at the Slovak Technical University in Kosice, having established a very strong generation of artists coming from the East. As the Kassaboys publicly claimed back in 2006: "it is inevitable to fight fiercely for the attention which is focused mainly on Bratislava". Radovan Čerevka was also a co-curator of an exhibition entitled EASTERners held in 2015. Now he helps the new blood in this fight.
