This year, Brhlovské podlievané buchty — a beloved traditional pastry from the village of Brhlovce — were added to Slovakia's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The achievement is the result of years of dedicated work by the civic association Nostra Heredita. We spoke with with Eva Homoľová, Adriana Sztankóova, and Monika Ježíková from Nostra Heredita about the history of this cherished baking tradition, what makes it so special, and how they are working to preserve it for future generations.
