What does it feel like to be part of a swarm of insects? To find out, we visited Trenčín's Formaat Gallery to experience AudioSwarm, an innovative sound installation created by artist John Grzinich that transformed ordinary streets into an immersive work of art. Guided by synchronized recordings of insect calls played through dozens of mobile phones, participants journeyed from the gallery through the railway station and into a nearby park, creating a moving soundscape that blurred the boundaries between nature, technology and urban life. Along the way, we hear from the organisers and participants to discover how this unique artistic experiment became one of the standout experiences of Trenčín's European Capital of Culture celebrations.
