Sadovská and Walkensteiner Exhibit in Vienna

In cooperation with the Slovak Institute in Vienna, a unique exhibition of contemporary art by Dorota Sadovská and Wolfgang Walkensteiner is now on view at Salz Vision Gallery.

Titled Ways of Seeing, the show presents some of Sadovská’s latest large-scale paintings. Through motifs such as Madonnas and Pietas, she reactivates historical iconography as a living presence in the contemporary world. Walkensteiner, meanwhile, creates painterly situations in which perception itself becomes visible as a process.

According to curator Anne Avramut, the artists together explore how images function as layers of time—where cultural memory meets immediate experience.
