An exhibition of Kovačica naïve art opened Tuesday at the Gallery on the Western Terrace of Bratislava Castle.
Added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list in December 2024, this folk-art tradition comes from Slovakia’s community in Serbia’s Vojvodina region.
The exhibition features two large paintings by Pavel Hájku, titled ‘Winter’ and ‘Summer,’ alongside works by 65 artists and a large collection of painted stools, with 30 unique pieces by renowned Kovačica artists.
The exhibition runs until July 31st.
