The 58th Folklore Festival Pod Poľanou has begun in Detva and will run until July 13. This year’s program is dedicated to the region’s musical personalities and will also feature a theatrical adaptation of Ťapákovci.
Visitors can also look forward to demonstrations of traditional sheep farming and an exhibition of wooden crosses from Detva, which are listed as part of Slovakia’s intangible cultural heritage.
