The gala evening of Woman of the Year 2025 will be broadcast live on public television channel Jednotka on Friday, June 6, starting at 8:30 p.m. During the celebratory event, prestigious awards will be presented to exceptional women from various spheres of public life. The 17th edition of this distinguished poll will be hosted by Janette Štefánková and Ľubomír Bajaník.
Among the nominees are familiar faces from Slovak Television and Radio (STVR). Hana Rapantová and Oľga Konečná have been nominated in the Media and Communication category. Awards will also be presented in eight other categories, covering areas such as art, healthcare, science, sports, education, charitable work, and helping others.
The festive evening will feature musical and artistic performances by well-known artists including Nela Pocisková, Fragile, Marian Vojtko, Cho Cellos, Lúčnica, soloists from the Slovak National Theatre Ballet, Martina Schindlerová, and Sisa Sklovská.
“I believe viewers won’t miss this event full of star guests and inspiring personalities,” said STVR Director General Martina Flašíková.
The aim of the Woman of the Year poll is to highlight women who contribute to the development of society and are an essential part of the country's cultural, social, scientific, and economic life. Since its inception, the award has recognized over 400 exceptional women.
