To celebrate International Romani Day, Radio Slovakia International’s Kamila Kamala Galjuš presents the Romani theatre scene in Slovakia. The Tuesday show includes a description of both the history and the contemporary place of the only state-funded professional Romani theatre, Romathan. In an interview with Dominika Badžová, a Romani playwright from Košice, we discuss her creative process and her views on the literary works of Romani authors. In the final interview, we talked to František Balog, the director of the Parnokalo Theatre in Košice about its mission to connect Romani and non-Romani actors, directors, and other creatives through its plays.
