On March 28, 2025, the Radio_Head Awards ceremony took place in the main concert hall of Slovak Radio. For the past 17 years, the event has honored the best of non-mainstream music broadcast on Rádio_FM and Rádio Devín, the public radio stations focused on alternative music and culture.
This year’s ceremony centered on the theme of connecting genres and artists. Highlights included rapper Fvck_Kvlt performing with the Bratislava Boys’ Choir, Nina Kohout and Vojtík singing each other’s hits in a duet, and punk band Berlin Manson reimagining a classic by pop icon Richard Müller.
The evening concluded with a medley of three songs performed by three different acts, all linked by late bass guitarist Stanka Apfelová, who was posthumously awarded for her contribution to music.
