RSI 32

On March 29th, 1993, public broadcaster Slovenský rozhlas, which translates to Slovak Radio, added English, French, German, and Russian languages to the already existing foreign service in Slovak, in order to broaden its portfolio of listeners. With these new broadcasts, Slovak radio could now target not only expats living abroad, but also anyone in search of information about our country. Mind you, that was the time of no internet, at least in Central Europe.

How did it all start? You can learn a bit more from the material produced on the occasion of RSI’s 30th anniversary.
