Hundreds of employees at Slovak National Gallery resign

Around 100 employees of the Slovak National Gallery announced their mass resignation on January 27, citing an environment where laws are being violated and professional principles ignored. The staff expressed their dissatisfaction with the  Culture Ministry and with what they described as a collapse of an institution that has built an international reputation over decades. The resignations are also a form of civic protest against the ongoing situation. The Culture Ministry responded, assuring that the stability and operations of SNG would be maintained despite the resignations. The ministry dismissed concerns about a collapse, affirming that it respects employees' right to express their opinions but urged them to reconsider their decision to leave.
