20th Zilina literature festival

The largest literature festival in central Slovakia opens on Thursday, 28 September, in the premises of the New Synagogue culture hub in Zilina. Its main theme is diversity. The three day event presents different genres including graphic novels, books for children, poetry and classical novel among others. The festival features debates with international as well as local authors, concerts, workshops and an open air book fair.

White night over the weekend

On Friday, 29 September, the White Night event starts in the streets of Bratislava. The international concept of presenting visual and sound artworks in the form of a city walk brings the latest trends to wide audiences. Through Sunday, 1 October, it is possible to explore works by over 40 contemporary artists.

Bratislava Music Festival 2023

The iconic Slovak composer Eugen Suchon is being commemorated in the program of the 58th Bratislava Music Festival. Inviting us to the Bratislava Music Festival which will be held in the Slovak capital through 8 October is the general director of the Slovak Philharmonic, Marian Turner.

Contemporary dance in 5 cities

The 27th International festival of contemporary dance entitled Bratislava v pohybe starts in the Slovak capital as of Monday, 2 October. This year, the event is focused on Belgian contemporary dance production as the trendsetter on the European dance scene. It will also be possible to see performers from Italy, Great Britain, France and Slovakia. This year, it will also be possible to enjoy contemporary dance performances in other Slovak towns as the festival is travelling to Trnava, western Slovakia, Banska Bystrica and Zilina, central Slovakia as well as to Kosice in the east.
