As of 2019, the Representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity also includes drotarstvo or wire craft and art. With the respect of the old tradition, contemporary artists bend the wire in new ways. One of them came from the USA to study this art in the western-northern part of Slovakia. Her name is Kristin Tollefson.
