The year 2022 will be remembered in the negative but, fortunately, also in the positive sense of this word. In many ways did people working in the sphere of culture react to domestic and international events. The year also recorded significant recognition of Slovak art abroad. Listen to the pick of at least some of the pinnacles of the year 2022 in Slovak culture including opening of the restored part of the Slovak National Gallery after 21 years, dismissal of yet another general director of the Slovak National Theatre, the largest multigenre festival held in full capacity after a two year break and two female artists representing Slovakia in top international institutions – MUMOK in Vienna and Tate Modern in London.
