In 2009, a meadow was saved in Bratislava in order to protect a nearby 2000 alluvial tree forest, against the will of developers. The activity might have been successful also due to the fact that one of the agile eco-activists fighting for preserving this meadow in the largest Slovak housing estate Petrzalka was Alenka Chudikova, the wife of Slovak star actor Ladislav Chudik.
